Anastasia Kolesnik, the winner of Textile Design Talents Solstudio Award 2022, recently returned from Italy, where she completed a two-week internship at the European Institute of IED Istituto Europeo di Design under the program "Textile Design: Trend forecast, drawing and printing".
I graduated from the Stieglitz Academy and the ProArte School of Young Artist in St. Petersburg under the curatorship of Katya Bochavar. I have been living in France for the last two years. Here I was educated at the private school MJM Design Graphic and this summer I completed a summer program at the ACCADEMIA DI BELLE ARTI ALDO GALLI. This year I worked at La Redoute in France as a textile designer and in July I finished my contract. Now I am in search of new career opportunities and work with private orders.
I've known about the competition since I studied at Muha, but I've never participated. This year I saw the topics, the jury and decided, why not? As a result, it was my first participation and very successful!
During the internship, I really liked the visits to the studio. This is an opportunity to see how this business works from the inside, to see possible solutions and ways of working, studios. We were inspired by the designs we saw, a lot of ideas appeared and the eye saw a lot of beauty. Also, importantly, the people on the course were pleasant, friendly, active and curious, which, in turn, set the atmosphere in the group. And, of course, our curator, Fulvio Alvisi, who led the program for 2 weeks, gave a lot of important technical information and personal advice. In general, I liked the internship, the program was good. I received a shock dose of inspiration, new acquaintances in the field of design and a lot of useful technical information.
